Motorola V3 RAZR – A Phone That’s Not Just For The Sleek And Sophisticated
The Motorola V3 RAZR was released in 2004 and is still hot today, which goes to show that high calibre phones never go out of style. It certainly looks the part and has all of the latest features to go with it, but is it truly a phone for everybody and not just the image conscious?
Made out of a magnesium and aluminium mix, the Motorola V3 RAZR is a joy to hold and behold. Its smooth lines give the phone a touch of class, whilst its lightweight composition belies the fact that it is made entirely of metal. This is compounded by the fact that the screen is actually glass rather than plastic and thus is more durable. The phone’s general appearance makes it the phone to be seen with.

The V3 RAZR isn’t just a pretty face though. The phone itself is incredibly at the cutting edge of technology. Connectivity is good with bluetooth and a USB hub to connect to a PC. Talk time is excellent too, as quad makes it almost impossible to lose signal.
The camera on the V3 RAZR does not sound entirely impressive because it is of below 1MP capability, which may be seen as a weakness, but when coupled with the awesome 650,000 colour 176×220 pixel glass screen, it is hard to pick fault with it. The resolution boosts any images that may appear grainy on other models.
The V3 RAZR does have its niggles though. The battery life is poor, lasting just 3 hours of talk time and a miserable 24 hours on standby. The memory also leaves a lot to be desired, and not just because it is only 5.5MB. There is nowhere to put an external memory card to boost that and so the camera is somewhat redundant unless you make use of the connectivity, However, if you don’t need a camera on your phone then this phone is definitely for you!
Another niggle of the V3 RAZR is that the menus are initially difficult to navigate, although a bit of practice work wonders to solve this problem. However, the phone book can be extremely annoying because different numbers for the same contact have to be stored separately, thus eating into the memory.
Despite these minor problems that can easily be resolved on the whole, the Motorola V3 RAZR is a magnificent phone that can boost your social life as well as your image. It is a fantastic model for just about anybody, regardless of how extensive your phone knowledge it. It talks the talk and walks the walk, ticking all the boxes. What more can you ask for?
