Nokia E65 - Smart Phone
Nokia has always been known for the high quality and cutting edge technology of their open faced smart phones. In recent years, that technology has only continued to leap and grow and the Nokia E65 is an example of just how much. The first thing you will notice about this sleek new phone is the 15.5 mm thin casing. Combined with a 105 mm height and a 49 mm width, the size is just right for functionality and portability. With the ability to choose between smooth dark brown and a sharp, stylish red, the 105 gram E65 is a lesson in how to make an attractive, highly functional phone.
Because the E65 is an E-Series phone the features are built to match the high end user base to which they are targeted. That means the E65 comes with a 16 million color, high resolution display, one touch access keys, and the newest developments in Symbian operating system software for the best interface yet offered on a Nokia handset.
Other highly desirable features in the E65 include a 2 megapixel camera with one touch photo and video recording. Users can easily take and store their pictures to either, save, share, or edit for future use. Additionally, users can enjoy the freedom of having fully operational streaming audio and video on their phone and a fully featured music player that supports both MP3 and AAC formats.
Email on the E65 is another well designed feature, supporting nearly every email format and allowing the download of document attachments. Additionally, complex emails similar to those that users write on their home computer are just as possible on the E65. Instant Messaging is another popular feature made fully possible with the E65, allowing users free and easy access to each other from anywhere.
While the Nokia E65 does not offer the best email features for a phone – the Blackberry can claim that title – nor the best keyboard, it does offer one of the best overall phone experiences on the market right now by cramming in a great deal of well tuned features. The Wi-Fi connection works amazingly well, with a fairly decent range for a handheld device, offering those users with constant internet access nearby the ability to quickly and easily check the Internet. Additionally, the phone features Quadband coverage for unlimited phone usage in all countries except for those in North America. Combined with a 264 hour standby and 6 hours of standard talk time, it stretches the limits of such a compact phone.
Generally speaking, the Nokia E65 is the kind of phone that strives to do a little bit of everything. Combining the modern convenience of features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, email access, and a well constructed camera into a single phone does not always work out well for the manufacturer. Usually, at least one feature falls short and fails to live up to the promise of the design. However, for the E65 there are very few if any features that fail to live up to expectations. While nothing excels at the top of the field, the overall experience with Nokia’s newest smartphone makes it one of the best total packages around.
